“In her installation Travel Agency, the Swiss artist invites you to a dream-trip to “the Unknown/Strange” and explores with the visitors the inner image-worlds. If the encounter with the “stranger” at home is often a threat, in the tourist context it often changes between stereotypes and positive new experience…”

“…The exhibition deals with strangeness as construction, strangeness is deeply human, it is part of our self, we all experience it on our travels and attribute it to others on a daily basis; strangeness is constructed from the perspective of a group by drawing boundaries around one’s own. The attribution of strangeness usually leads to the exclusion of the others, discrimination and oppression, but strangeness can also be understood as potential and enrichment. The exhibition includes historical image-text montages and artistic contributions. Art and history do not reproduce (historic) realities but directly intervene in the reality and shape it…”
